Income Tax Assistance

Income Tax Assistance is available at Lincoln City Libraries during tax season. Lincoln City Libraries provides the space for this service. Trained volunteers are sent by VITA and AARP. Library staff are not authorized to provide assistance or advice regarding Income Tax preparation.

All AARP Tax-Aide appointments at Lincoln City Libraries are full.

The Beatrice Public Library site is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:30 to 4:00 p.m. and mave have appointment slots available. The library’s address is 100 N. 16th Street in Beatrice. The number to call for an appointment is 402-520-7409.

Sunday – 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. (February 1 to March 29)

Tuesday – 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (February 3 to April 7)

Eiseley Branch Library, 1530 Superior Street
Wednesday – 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. (February 4 to April 8)

If Lincoln Public Schools and/or UNL are closed due to bad weather, then all VITA sites are closed. In that case, VITA notifies all clients who are impacted either by phone or e-mail to reschedule. This does not apply to AARP tax assistance sites.

Special Note About Nebraska Tax Forms:

To encourage electronic filing, the Nebraska Department of Revenue no longer provides tax forms to the public library. You may print forms and instructions from the Nebraska Department of Revenue’s website.
