Open House for Proposed Central Library Project set for June 4

Lincoln City Libraries invites community members to an open house regarding the proposed Central Library Project from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 S. 14th St.

The event will provide information about the proposal to repurpose the former Southeast Community College Education Square building at 1111 “O” Street into a modern, centrally located public library.

City officials, library staff and project architects will be available to answer questions and share information about the proposed features, funding and project timeline. Tours of the Bennett Martin Public Library will also be offered during the open house.

Two more public information sessions are scheduled for June and July:

    June 26 – 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., Walt Branch Library, 6701 S. 14th St.
    July 7 – 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., SCC Education Square, 1111 “O” St.
